Free Youth Coaching Clinic Sat April 5th, 1:00-2:00
Plato suggests that those with experience and insight have
an obligation to mentor others.
It's a busy world out there and our children have many options for paths
to take, not all of them positive paths.

The foundation of our coaching philosophy is to build the confidence and self esteem of children.  We believe the world needs more confident and proactive leaders, the kind of people who analyze situations and are willing and able to ACT and to lead others to ACT.  Please join our group of positive coaches and help us make that difference in kid's lives, and who knows, maybe in the world.

Oh, and coaches get free open gym too ;)

 

Time
Youth practices are Saturday mornings for 1 1/2 hours
Youth matches are Thursday evenings for an hour
Leagues run 8 weeks

20 hours of positive coaching can make a big difference,
come let us show how we do it!

Big House Rec League Certification Seminar
Beginning with the upcoming Fall Leagues
All Officials
Shall attend this seminar and become certified.
Seminar is Sunday July 22, 4-6
Bring your whistle, on court situations
* Officials from ANY league or level are welcome.  $20 for non-Shack officials.

We have high standards for officiating at
The Volleyball Shack.
Our players have been around the block,
even hit around the block,
and they expect a well-officiated match.

Starting this Fall season all Shack officials will attend our Big House Rec League Certification Seminar


Qualities we look for in officials:
 ~ There to serve the players, not to show off
 ~ Good with people
 ~ Experience, but continually open to learning and growing
 ~ Or, newer officials who want a good foundation in officiating mechanics & principles
 ~ Show up 10 minutes early every time
